Cleaners are strong, chemical-laden liquids. Not only is our skin exposed to them through touching surfaces, but most come in spray bottles and when we clean, we breathe in some of the ‘mist’ flying around. Ugh!
In the past years, I’ve converted to using vinegar as my cleaning base and occasionally, homemade soaps. I know. There are times when I’ll purchase a bit of good ole’ bleach (moving into new home!!!), but we leave most everything else at the grocery store!
Here are some natural cleaners I use in my own home plus methods (credit given) that other bloggers use.
The 15 Second Household Cleaner– check out this method using soapnuts, vinegar and optional essential oil. Its quick to make and gets the job done even faster! Cleans most surfaces but has not been tested on granite.

Lemon Infused Disinfectant Spray Cleaner. I know of more than one person who uses vodka as their primary household cleaner. It’s an excellent disinfectant and can usually be safely used on granite.
